Today Digital Rowing launched its new website for 2012 at www.digitalrowing.com, combining a fresh new visual design with a major overhaul of the site's content and structure.
"The new website is a major step forward from our previous site" said Digital Rowing President Pete Loeffen. "Our design goal has been to make the site very clean, crisp and easy for visitors to use."
The new website has been specifically constructed to work well with the iPad and other tablets with touch screen capabilities, as well as traditional desktop web browsers. The menus, page layouts and font sizes have been adjusted to work correctly with either mouse or touch screen interfaces, and the drop-down secondary menus have been replaced with fixed menus.
"We have taken a very different approach with the design of our new home page, and reflected that into the main sections of the site" says Pete Loeffen. "It is simpler and more intuitive, with new and better images and a clean graphical presentation."
The new website also introduces social media for the rowing community, including a RowPro Facebook page, a Digital Rowing Twitter feed, and links to the popular Concept2 UK RowPro forum where most RowPro Rowers are active.
Another section of the site that has changed is the Download Center, where software, Apps, documents, tools and Rowfiles have all been gathered to make them easier to locate.
"Taken together these changes makes the whole site easier to use and more responsive for users" says Pete Loeffen. "We're pleased with the way the new site has come together, and visitor feedback so far is very positive."
