Session Setup

If you want to do more than Just Row, for example row a Set Piece, click Session Setup. If you've been rowing already, you'll need to click Stop Row and OK before Session Setup will open.

Session Setup contains all the controls you need to set up a session in just a few seconds. Here's the basic sequence for setting up a row:

First check the user listed at the top of Session Setup is you, and change the user if necessary. If you are not set up as a user yet, you can do this by clicking the Users button at the top of Session Setup. It's important that you have the correct user set here, because the results of the row will be saved to the rowing log of the user listed at the top of Session Setup.
Next decide what kind of session you want and click the appropriate button down the left side of Session Setup. This could be a Set Piece, a Training session, a Custom Row, an Online rowing session, or a Playback session. When you click each button, the panel in the center of Session Setup will show a list of the available choices. For example in Set Piece it shows a list of the official Concept2 Set Piece events; in Training is shows the training sessions in your Active Training Plan scheduled for today plus or minus three days. Select the session you want to row from the displayed list.
Now decide if you want to set any of the options down the right to different settings from the default. Options include having a Race Start, placing other boats alongside you in other Lanes, changing the number of Splits, and including a Warm-up and Warm-down along with your main row.

Note: Digital Rowing strongly recommends that you row both a warm-up and a warm-down along with each main row. This is important to ensure your body gets the full benefit of the main row and to avoid the risk of injury through over-exertion when your muscles are not prepared. All training plan sessions except Technique rows include a mandatory warm-up and warm-down that you can extend if you wish.

Once you're done, make sure your PM is connected to your PC and the PM Connection Status Indicator on the bottom left of the PM twin frame is green, then click the Row button.
RowPro will show you a reminder note, which you can tailor later to whatever you want it to say. Then RowPro will set up each part of the row for you in sequence on your PM, stepping you through Warm-up, Main Row and Warm-down segments, and will provide pauses between them for you to adjust or recover. Just follow the prompts at each step.
Once you've completed all the segments of your row, RowPro will ask if you want to save the strokes, and you can view your Session Report to see your totals, splits, and strokes in table and chart form. RowPro finishes your session by saving your results in your rowing log and resetting itself in preparation for a new Just Row session.
