Creating your own training plans

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Creating your own RowPro training plans is as simple as a-b-c. The built-in Training Plan Wizard takes all the guesswork out of it, and with a few simple answers from you, leads you directly to the best training plan.

The Training Plan Wizard:

Finds out what your training intentions are and selects a suitable group of training templates from its built-in store.
Finds out your personal profile and your rowing and competition background and determines the levels of training challenge that are appropriate for you.
Offers you a menu of training plans ranging from easy to the most challenging level it's willing to offer you based on what it knows.
Creates a training plan that is the best fit to all of the above, and adds it to your personal library of training plans.

The Training Plan Wizard takes into account:

Your age, gender, height and weight.
Your training intentions.
Your training history.
Your racing history if you want a competition plan.
The event distance / time you want to focus on if you plan to compete.
The weekly training commitment you're prepared to make.
The dates you want your training plan to start and finish.

To begin:

Confirm your User Profile settings

The Training Plan Wizard needs to know your User Profile settings, and it draws these from your User Profile. However over time your weight or height may change, and also seeing your date of birth and gender again will alert you in case you've accidentally started creating a training plan under another user's name. The Wizard therefore asks you to confirm your:

Date of birth
Gender
Weight
Height

Note: Most of the time these will already be correct and you can simply proceed to the next step. If you need to change any of your User Profile details, you can do so here, and any changes you make here will be reflected directly into your User Profile.
