Advanced Pace Boats are the most flexible, powerful and complex form of Pace Boats available:

Using Advanced Pace Boats, you can program up to 20 separate 'splits', with the Pace Boat behaving differently for every 'split'.
Note that these are called 'splits' in quote marks because they are independent of the normal splits in a session. You do not need to match the 'splits' where the Pace Boat behaviour changes with the normal splits in your session.

To create an Advanced Pace Boat:

Click in the box directly above the "Splits" column header and enter the time or distance where you want the behaviors to change. If you type in 500 for a 2000m Pace Boat, then four lines of 'splits' will appear in the list. You can then change each line.
Click the arrow to select the line for the first 'split', then click in the Pace box in that line and enter the Pace for that 'split'. Do the same for the SPM box.
Repeat the process for any further 'splits' as for the first 'split'. You can move lines Up or Down, plus you can use the Fill Down button to copy a line down to all the lines below it to speed up the process.
Name and save your Advanced Pace Boat to make it available for Regattas. A good way to name Advanced Pace Boats is say a 2000m Advanced Pace Boat with the ten 'splits' set to mimic your planned race tactics could be called 2k 10-Split Race Plan.

The newly-created Pace Boat will be shown in the Pace Boats list in the Pace Boat Studio, and will also automatically appear when you click the Pace Boat button in the Lanes utility during Session Setup.
