Working with Rowfiles

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

RowPro enables you to export rows from your rowing log in the form of a Rowfile that contains split and stroke data, together with details of your chosen colors and oar emblems, whether you used a Slide, and a brief comment. This enables you to:

Send Rowfiles of rows done by you 'away from home' to yourself at home. Provided you have done the row using the same user name as you use in your own copy of RowPro, then RowPro will recognize you as the owner of the Rowfile and enter the imported result into your Rowing Log.
Send Rowfiles to your Concept2 Online Personal Logbook, where you can then log in and submit the row to the Concept2 Online Ranking, enabling others to download the associated Rowfile and compete with you stroke by stroke.
Send Rowfiles of rows done by you to other people, so that they can import the Rowfiles and use them to animate a rower in one of the other lanes and row against them.

To export a Rowfile:

In your Rowing Log, right mouse on any entry and click Export on the list that pops up.
In the RowPro Export Utility dialog box that pops up, choose Myself@Home, Concept2 or Someone Else, click the Export button, and follow the prompts.

The first time you export a Rowfile to Concept2, RowPro prompts you to enter your Concept2 Ranking ID #, which is the unique identifier that Concept2 assigns to every Personal Logbook.

Note: If you don't already have a Concept2 Personal Logbook, you can open one at www.concept2.com. If you have a Concept2 Personal Logbook but don't know your Ranking ID #, you can find it in the Profile at the top right of your Personal Logbook.
