RowPro features

Direct PM connection - Direct 2-way connection from the RowPro PC to multiple Concept2 PM4 or PM3 Performance Monitors, to set up rows, track students' performance as they row, and record their results.
3D animation - Advanced multi-lane 3D on-water rowing animation tracks students' stroke action and shows them excellent stroke technique as they row.
Coaching clinic - A 3D Coaching Clinic where Olympic rowing coach Brian Hawthorne shows how to row well.
Personalized rowing plans - Over 150 pre-defined rowing plan templates for student competition, fitness and weight control, plus a Wizard to select the best plan for each student based on their profile and goals.
Racing - Virtual Racing with pace boats or past rows, Venue Racing between up to 16 Indoor Rowers, and live Online Rowing with other schools around the world.
Rowing log - RowPro records session results, splits and stroke data in each student's personal rowing log.
Performance analysis - Split-by-split charts show how students' pace and heart rate are improving over time.
Multi user - Provides personal rowing plans, rowing logs, custom rows and settings for 20 to 200 students.

Indoor Rower Connection Requirements

Equipment versions

RowPro software: To enable more than one Indoor Rower to be connected, RowPro version 2.2 or later software is required.
PM4 firmware: Version 21 or later is required.
PM3 firmware: Version 101 or later is required.

Connection types

USB: Multiple Indoor Rowers can be connected to the RowPro PC via USB hubs and cables. A suitable USB cable is supplied by Concept2 with every Indoor Rower. The school will need to buy any required USB hubs.
Serial: RowPro does not currently operate with PM4 Serial connections or PM4 ANT Wireless connections.

USB requirements

USB hubs

The USB hub and USB ports on the RowPro PC must be USB 2.0 to work correctly.

Any USB hubs must be mains-powered, i.e. they must be connected to a mains wall outlet.

Note: If large numbers of PMs are involved, multiple USB hubs may be required.

USB hubs are available in 4-port and 7-port configurations. Any combination of these can be used to connect PMs to the RowPro PC.

USB cabling schemes

The typical scheme is to connect a number of PMs to a USB hub via the USB cable supplied with each Concept2 Indoor Rower, then connect the hub to the RowPro PC using the USB cable supplied with the hub.

Note: The maximum USB cable length is 15 feet (approx 5 meters). This may influence the floor layout of Indoor Rowers.
