GMT is short for Greenwich Mean Time, a universal time standard.

All RowPro Online Rowing sessions are scheduled in GMT.

RowPro uses GMT because:

• It's the same for everyone worldwide
• There's no summertime or daylight saving time in GMT, so online session start times never jump around

GMT takes a little getting used to while you learn to translate between GMT and your local time, but you quickly get used to that.

To help you use GMT when rowing online, the current GMT time is shown as GMT Now at:

• The Oarbits Live Feed page
• RowPro Session Setup | Online and in Check-in
• The Oarbits App for iPhone and Android phones

Note: GMT is five hours ahead of US Eastern Standard Time(EST) and four hours ahead of US Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
