Digital Rowing has developed a revolutionary new training system for Indoor Rowing enthusiasts.
The training system uses a world-first PC-based training plan wizard and a series of industry-leading training plan templates created especially for Digital Rowing by training specialist Jon Ackland of Performance Lab International. With just a few mouse clicks, home users of Concept2 Indoor Rowers can use the new training system to create targeted training plans for weight control, fitness and competition at all levels from beginner to elite.
With a Concept2 Indoor Rower connected to RowPro, users can simply click their scheduled workouts to load them into the Concept2 Performance Monitor. The training systems then automatically tracks and records their performance as they row for later analysis.
Digital Rowing has focused on ensuring the training system generates world-class training programs. 'Performance Lab International provides proven world-class expertise in instructor-not-present training programs' says Digital Rowing President Pete Loeffen, 'and Jon Ackland is undoubtedly the best in this area. We're delighted to be able to offer this training technology to rowers.'
Ackland has worked closely with Olympic Rowing Coach Brian Hawthorne and Digital Rowing software designers to ensure the training programs are easy to use and produce the results rowers want.
'This is a breakthrough in training technology that enables us to help a broad group of people to improve their performance' says Ackland.
'From a training perspective, the Concept2 Indoor Rower is as close to a perfect training platform as you can get. There's feedback about virtually every performance parameter we're interested in, and no extraneous factors like wind and choppy water to complicate result analysis. This is very exciting'.
Digital Rowing President Pete Loeffen agrees. 'Our company's tag line is "Get the results you want from your rowing" and this revolutionary new PC-based training system is the technology that delivers it', he says.
'We're already seeing great performance improvements from users' says Loeffen, 'with several new Personal Bests already recorded in our test crew, and some big improvements in their positions on the Concept2 Online Ranking. This is fantastic, and naturally we're delighted for users who achieve such impressive gains'.
The new training system is one of several breakthrough technologies that together make up Digital Rowing's new flagship software product RowPro, launched in February 2003 at the CRASH-B World Indoor Rowing Championships in Boston.
